Restylane® is the first FDA approved biodegradeable form of hyaluronic acid, providing patients with a smooth, long-lasting correction of facial wrinkles and folds. As a result of the aging process, less hyaluronic acid is produced. Restylane® skin injection treatments work to replenish the skin with hyaluronic acid, thus adding moisture and volume back to the skin. One of the most significiant benefits of Restylane® is that it is biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. Restylane® has been highly effective for the treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles in the facial area.

Dr. Hoefflin performs Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Restylane® treatments to primarily treat the nasolabial folds (lines between the mouth and nose), lip augmentation, marionette lines (areas along the lower outside corner of the mouth), and glabellar lines. The injection and consultation process takes about 20 minutes, and immediate enhancement can be appreciated.

Our Los Angeles Restylane® treatments are performed directly in our offices. All patients receive complimentary anesthetic numbing cream and post-injection ice compresses. Typical treatments take 15 minutes. A self-massaging program is initiated immediately to reduce any swelling and maintain tissue softness. There is minimal downtime and recovery, and results can be immediately appreciated.

Restylane®, a FDA approved Hyalouronic Acid (HA) filler, typically provides volume correction that can last for 6-9 months. The key to long-term happiness is getting enough volume replacement with the initial treatment.

Your selection of a surgeon is as important as your decision to undergo cosmetic surgery itself. Many patients do not know that in most states, a licensed physician may perform plastic surgery without being board-certified in plastic surgery. This means someone not trained in Plastic Surgery could be performing your surgery.

The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Selecting a surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery provides that your physician has completed the necessary and extensive training to perform plastic surgery and help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, Advil, and virtually all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents thin the blood and can promote bruising. In addition, anything herbal, red wine, and homeopathic medications can do the same. To minimize bruising, it’s advisable to avoid these products for 10 days before a treatment. To find out more about which medications you are presently taking and their potential for bruising, please contact our offices.
